So much for Tom being a journalist...
PS: A little Googling for “CE799071T” points you to the dealership.
By definition, the dealer’s actions mark him as a shady dealer, any franchise not withstanding.
It would be very helpful to publish the dealership’s name, and the name of the salesperson you were communicating with.
Witholding this onformation only makes it easier for them to screw someone else.
“I think Coupon Carl needs a job where he doesn’t interact with the public, don’t you?”
I agree. Perhaps he should consider politics.
Well, it WAS a marketing stunt.
And fixie bikes run from about $50 to $500. That should be HD’s target.
Harley is already in the ground. The only question is how fast the dirt is being shoveled in and how fast they can shovel it back out. Right now, the grave-diggers are winning.
Recently, their Marketing folks made a (very) limited number of very retro bicycles (HD was originally a bicycle company.) Maybe they should…
The M600 is one of the odd cars that look good in photos, better in person, and awesome on the track. I expect the M500 to be the same. It looks good in these photos...
As for the engine note, why should that matter? On the list of things to worry about on a car, it’s not at the bottom, but its damned close.
I wish I’d known I was going to lose my job 3 months after I bought a new Audi — a stretch for me, financially.
I kept the car, barely, but the new job was a 150-mile per DAY commute. I drove the piss out of that car.
I’m hesitant to read ANYTHING into these anecdotes, leg amputations, raw sewage, or long shifts. Anecdotal evidence rarely reflects common, day to day reality.
Also, nothing in these anecdotes seems to be all that out of the ordinary compared to any other large company, especially a manufacturing company.

If the golf clubs didn’t clue her in, nothing would have. She could have been driving a TRAIN and not notice it.
Based on his recent selfish and petulant actions, not to mention his lack of respect for the sanctioning body, this does not surprise me in the least.
If he keeps this up, he may end up with a cabinet position.
Why NOS? Why not liquid Nitrogen, which is cheap, plentiful, and can be made at the track?
Intentionally hitting a competitor? He’ll fit right in in NASCAR.
And texting while driving will only endear him to millineals, which NASCAR badly needs, so I’d say his future is bright right nere in the goold ole US-of-A.
And the other 15 cars you need to keep fueled?
These fuel delivery businesses aren’t just for the lazy. I work in a building with another company that keeps a fleet of vehicles (company cars, construction vehicles, etc...) in the parking lot and a fuel delivery service comes by twoce a week to top them off. I got to…
It looks like a nice coupe, but absolutely NOT a $155k coupe. Based on looks alone, I’d expect it to be around $60k.
And I suspect they’ve tried to limit their production costs by eliminating options.
The 280ZX was the first car that I was ever actually nervous to drive. It was gold with a RED interior. RED, I tell ya!
Rewind way back to 1982(ish) and I had just gotten my for-reals driving license. I was helping at a fundraiser car wash and the mayor drives up in his gold 280ZX to much OOH’s and AAH’s. Everyone was…
Imagine the shock he’ll get when he discovers Jesus is a Middleastern Jew.
93°F is too hot? Feh -- it was 106 in Dallas yesterday, but we don’t use drawbridges, so we didn’t make the news.
That map is wrong. Texas is not in the Southwest. Texas is in Texas. Nothing else.
