@Grive: I can totally see your gripe with those specs, especially with a tv that large, its much easier to notice a difference between the two profiles. Personally after watching blu-ray on my 40 inch samsung 120 hz tv, anything less than 1080p leaves a lot to be desired, also truehd sound is super nice.

@Grive: At least its in HD, even if its not 1080p. That makes a huge difference. But the real A/V nerds out there are going to cry foul for falling short of anything but 1080p.

iTV doesn't even play videos in HD, its standard definition which imo is a pretty epic fail. As far as having hulu, netflix et al all in one box, thats pretty cool and would be nice. In terms of creating a new all in one iTV, the analyst may not be so far off considering that apple stopped selling their gigantor lcd

And I felt like I didn't want to be at work today and to just sleep in or possibly call in sick. Then you do this to me. Now not only do I feel useless, but I feel like I should quit my day job to do something bigger and better with my life. Thx be to Giz. FML.

@The Albatross: I pull up advanced task manager to see whats running sometimes, and it will randomly start running twitter or facebook or some other app without me having selected it beforehand. For some reason Android 2.1 on my htc incredible does this all the time. There are apps running that I never selected or

@wtmesq: Just changed the brightness setting, I hope it helps, though I'm sure it will. Its not like I need maximum brightness anyways, although I always like it super bright.

Isn't camera porn just porn? I think the headline should read Porn, starring Cameras.

Uhhh, I don't have this problem at all, maybe ten minutes if that. I guess if you don't turn on your ps3 months and months at a time, you may have to do several updates worth at once, but I think old Benny Kuchera may be off on this one. I guess thats why I don't read Ars anymore, well, that and my stupid workplace

Yeah I hope to travel to another planet before I die, lets step up this space exploration thing humanity.

@etaylor3971: Private Pain you've just been promoted to Major Pain.

@onyxorca: only if you have a non-verizon branded phone

@Dafrety: Yup, in addition to updating fb for android to 1.3.1, I highly recommend a good task killer app to kill processes that are running in the background even though you aren't using them. Doing so really saves the drain on your battery from unused apps or bloatware.

@Dogen: I was on the Android market several times during the day after having downloaded version 1.3 and it never asked me to update it. I found out about the update to 1.31 from 1.3 from phandroid. The android market never even asked me to update it from the previous version before 1.3. If an android user already

An update to the fb for android app has already come out. Its version 1.31 which fixes the battery drain problem that arose for quite a few android users.

@grkhetan: I could see both the android tablet and iPhone being announced then, an insider that works for Verizon that is my uncle's nephew told me about it at a party when he saw me playing with my droid.

@East Indian: thx for the clarification, I have to keep my Indian film industry knowledge up to par, to keep up with my relatives that look at me like an alien.

@proskier: yeah cityid kept asking me if I wanted to buy the app, but I kept ignoring it, stupid bloatware.

This may just be me, but I thought that the Tamil language Indian film industry was known as "Tollywood" not "Kollywood."
