Left lane belongs to the person breaking the law the most by speeding the most. The dangerous driver is the one going at or just above the speed limit not the 300 mph guy. Makes sense.... Not.
Basically the argument of the”get out of my way” crowd is that the faster you go the more right you have to the fast lane. If I’m going 5 mph over the speed limit in the left lane in heavy traffic and you are going 15 over then I should get out of the way regardless of me already going over the limit. I’m not the cop…
Speeding isn’t dangerous?!?! You’re kidding right? I hope you are not old enough to have teenage kids and give them driving tips!
The people getting out of the way are weavers too.
Right. The person that breaks the law the most owns that lane right? The faster your willing to go, or as you put it, the more you deliberately break the law the more you own that lane. The winner is the fastest driver.
Agreed. Making people slow down has to be less of a risk than trying to weave in and out between cars just to let someone go 20 mph over the speed limit. But hey, it’s their lane as long as they are willing to go fast enough to claim it right? It just amazes me that people don’t realize that’s exactly what they are…
The “get out of my way crowd” is not interested your law. They are late and entitaled to their lane! If there is a traffic jam and both lanes are full and going 10 mph then all should move over for them because nothing in the law excludes traffic jams so they are all breaking the law! Including them probably because…
My states law:
It’s also for overtaking.
Nope. My states law says it’s for passing and for overtaking. It also doesn’t define how close you have to be to the car in front of you to switch from just driving to overtaking. As long as I’m passing someone or overtaking someone and I’m going over the speed limit I’m not moving over and I’m not breaking the law.…
It’s not there for my state. It does say right lane is for passing AND for overtaking. Nothing says get out of the way so people can go as fast as they want. It also doesn’t define how close you have to be to be overtaking. So if you can tell you are catching up to someone then you are overtaking. I’m guessing people…
Not going to do it if I’m going over the speed limit already and can tell I’m catching up to people. Sorry.
What if you’re driving the speed limit in the left lane? Or 10 miles over the speed limit? My state’s law says the left lane is for passing AND overtaking but it doesn’t say how close you have to be before you are “overtaking” and not just driving in the left lane. If you can tell a mile back that you are overtaking…
