“Do you love to drink? I know my dad did.” “My sister would make a selfish bride.” “No offense, but that’s a placeholder name if I’ve ever heard one.” Individual lines here make me laugh but some scenes never seem to go anywhere. And why are Doug and Mia acting like Matt can help them? They have to know by this point

She seemed so utterly lost. You can see why her sister would panic.

That scene with Yaz on the side of the road was so nicely acted, which made the Graham/Doctor interaction all the more jarring. I get the "it can be hard to say the right thing" vibe but wow was that miscalculated.

He was quite funny on that Grace and Frankie episode this season. And Mr. Bray forever.

Jake picking his own pocket to prove his skills was a good gag.

Just watched his great performance in Out of the Past, a basically perfect noir.

Every scene with Mia and Doug is one relentless, unfunny note. The reveal that the entire bridge crew is just a pack of good-looking dummies was funny but went on way too long.

I’m all for cooperating with people to solve global problems but that went from “you’re going to destroy an entire planet just to save yourselves” to “we should work together!” in record time. Maybe don’t trust the genocidal mad scientist again quite so quickly?

With the late Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Michaels she was my go-to beach read in college. Just a wonderful creator of pleasantly tense pageturners.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The third part (which is supposed to be the first half of season two, I think?) is pretty much what you should expect at this point, jumping back and forth from teenage romance to apocalyptic horror. The plots on this show never make a lot of sense (there is ALWAYS some last minute,

This was indeed soul-crushingly sad if you look at it from Janet’s perspective. She evolves the ability to love and be loved only to see her loved ones, one by one, venture into an unknowable next stage where she can never follow. All credit to Carden, who was wonderful in this episode, but that thought leaves me way

This sounds like a particularly goofy Chilling Adventures of Sabrina subplot.

Buscemi plays a creep almost better than anyone else but I like that this show lets him be a basically nice, if clueless, guy. His attempts to relate to his daughter in the season premiere were genuinely sweet.

“Those aren't zombies. Those are just the dismembered bodies of our departed friends." It feels like this show really needs to steer into pitch darkness because those are the only moments that work here. And get rid of the Earth stuff because it feels pointless. If you wanted to make a comedy about people way out of

The behind the scenes interviews have suggested that they are investing in a season long plot arc after intentionally not doing that with Whittaker's first season. Hopefully this Master/New Doctor/Lone Cyberman thread is it and that's all returning before the end of the season.

The line bashing rainbow colors and suspenders suggests she's never seen 6 or 7's outfits. Though 2 had a sonic screwdriver so that creates odd problems, too. Parallel universe?

I have no idea where this is going but the acting chemistry between the two Doctors was electric. This brought out a darker and more doubting side in Whittaker’s Doctor that was really interesting.

I agree that your version sounds much more interesting but aren't they kind of locked in to "instant exile" by the end of Episode III?

I mean, Anakin was very clear about the negatives of sand. Coarse, rough, etc.

So Chidi is the Cowardly Lion (courage), Jason is the Scarecrow (brains), Tahani is the Tin Man (heart), and Eleanor is Dorothy (home)? I know Schur has denied that the Wizard of Oz references were conscious but it does kind of work.
