I haven't rewatched Eve's Bayou in too long. That is a great movie. Holding out hopes for this one.

Jasper Johns punched me in the stomach for tilting my head while looking at his painting. He picked the angle he wanted!

Olivia Colman actually looks a bit like Taylor did in the 1980s. But, really, Weisz is a terrific actress and it's a story well worth telling.

The entire series is actually a look behind making the holo-porn from the Holiday Special. Kind of like Star Wars: The Deuce.

Song of the South really set the visual aesthetic for live action Disney movies through the mid-60s - this sort of overly bright, over-saturated color palette - but the lack of quality prints has sort of erased its place in that history.

The Dark Crystal continuation was visually stunning but, yeah, I have no idea what it was about.

It's a tight race but Derek may be the weirdest character in a universe of delightful weirdos.

I felt certain that the 100th would at least bring us a musical number. You couldn't have Lourd do a Billy Idol song?

Trevor being in on it would be a very AHS twist.

I also don't get Trevor at all here. He's turned on by his would be killer but also just wants the money? He feels guilty about an innocent person being blamed but attends her execution without complaint?

Andy would intend to vote for the person Leslie recommended but would confuse the name.

I didn’t need to know that Dennis clearly gets aroused by the goat being eaten in Jurassic Park but, well, of course he does.

The Omen opener wasn't great (really, you're doing The Omen and you can't sneak in a demon dog or creepy photo reference?). The Stranger Things segment had a few solid jokes, like how the show seems to slide around the '80s instead of picking a year. Heaven Can Wait is such a weird choice for a Treehouse episode and

Danson explaining that he didn’t want to reveal his true self to his friends because they'd never be able to see him the same way again was legitimately moving. I was really not expecting that moment.

I may be misremembering but wasn't The Axeman in Coven an actual ghost that they accidentally let loose?

He is perfect as the ultimate mediocre dude in Idiocracy, though I'm not sure that's a compliment.

I think AHS goes to the “trapped vengeful spirit” plot a little too often: Murder House, Coven, Hotel, Apocalypse, Roanoke, and now this. I get that’s an easy way to have your gory death but still get to keep the actor around but it gets repetitive.

Nailing the tone is going to be tricky. I can't really think of another "goofy epic".

Marsan is a really good call. I can see that.

At this point Mac seems about two episodes away from chaining Dennis up in a basement somewhere. There's always been that strain of Mac's desperate need for approval and unrequited feelings but he's going way overboard here.
