Agreed. I've never liked the idea that people who pay more get the better version of the game. It seems to foster some kind of weird socioeconomic stratification within gaming. Collector Editions should come with books and DVDs and soundtracks... and the exact same game that everybody else got.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I'll be glad to have all the DLC up front. I'm tired of adding DLC to Mass Effect games after the campaign is finished — it makes no narrative sense.

The issue is not whether she's a good writer. The issue is whether her central point — that narrative is the only part of a game which is universally considered to be "skippable" — is valid.
