I'm one of the disappointed 3DS owners. But I will say this — the 3D isn't one of my disappointments. It's surprisingly good, and I almost always choose to keep it on rather than off.

It makes me so sad to see Nintendo struggle like this. It's entirely their own fault, and that just makes it sadder.

I agree — but the first comment asked about the origin of the first cell, which is an organized structure. That's no different than asking the origin of the first snail, first bat, or first human.

It would be hard to ever know for sure, since none of those earliest organisms could leave fossils behind. But the first cell didn't just come into existence. It had evolutionary precursors as well.

It is absolutely related to evolution. The moment a self-replicating molecule existed, the rest was in the hands of evolution. It was an evolutionary process that allowed that molecule to become more complex, to associate itself with helper proteins, to wrap itself in a membrane...

Who's ragging on anything? X-Com was a great game back in the day, but played in 2012, it is also deeply flawed. There's nothing wrong with trying to make it relevant to the modern era.

None taken. Likewise, I assume you won't take offense when I point out that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Ha — that's what I get for not clicking the link :)

"Gollop thinks a 3D, third-person camera in a game such as X-COM will be "disorientating" to players of turn-based games"

I travel with one of Charge4All's tube chargers. It's cheap, and you can buy additional charging tips for pretty much any device on the planet for around $5 each.

Does the story explain how Sonic got trapped in an alternate universe with shitty physics?

Dammit. This game is going to cost me $300.

I don't know what the console would have looked like...

Oh, I'm in complete agreement. I have no idea why anybody would get the 3G version.

Yup — should work great for Chess ;)

It's been confirmed, but you can be pretty certain it's laggy as hell. Might be fine for golf, but fighting games? Not on your life.

You tease... see you in February.

Yeah — I almost felt bad calling you guys out on it. It was kind of a softball ;)

Noted, and appreciated. Sorry.

Which is all fine, but that's not the point. I'm not saying NAV is the best thing ever, nor am I saying that there aren't other excellent alternatives. I'm just saying that, contrary to the opinions on this thread, it's damn good software. The article you link to gives it an Editor's Choice.
