Careful... dissent and facts are not tolerated here. Everybody knows that Norton is the worst thing ever. It slowed my computer so much that it started running backwards, and that was right before it gave my grandma diabetes. The really good reviews from multiple independent sources were all written by corporate

Ah — the conspiracy angle. I was waiting for that.

And particularly easy to do so when you just make things up. I'll provide a counter argument in the same style:

I've heard very good things about MSE. I don't care what people use, I just don't like seeing NAV hammered for problems it no longer has.

Again, just not true. I'm sure MSE is just fine. But in recent years, NAV has been very well ranked for performance, and nearly everything else.

I mean, that's just factually wrong. Maybe it was true 10 years ago, but modern NAV is nothing like the system hog of the Win 95/98 era. Nothing at all.

Based on...?

Norton hasn't been a resource hog in years. At least the past 5 years of NAV have been lightning fast with minimal drain on resources.

I don't know that at all. In fact, it sounds a lot like you're talking out of your ass.

I'll give a shout-out to Last Pass. And their breach last year, in which somebody stole a whole pile of encrypted nonsense, only went to show how strong their security is on the whole. The stolen information would have been nearly impossible to make heads or tails of, and all it takes is one password change to

Funny to see this today. Just yesterday, I scored a vintage 1980s Timex digital watch (pre-Indiglo!) after discovering that the husband of one of my coworkers restores old watches. He left a whole bag of them on the counter at work, free to good homes.

No multiplayer or achievements? Crap game...

Seriously? I'm pretty damned liberal, but I'm just not seeing it.

I am using the default layout. I had refrained from replying to this the other day because I didn't want to seem unnecessarily snarky, but today's front page impels me.

Ha — some pictures are better than others, but I don't see why any of them should earn a star. I'd like to think people get stars for being insightful or interesting, and not just for being quick to post Cpt. Picard doing the face-palm. If a particular picture actually does make an insightful point, then that's

Wouldn't it have been easier to unplug the cradles?

This is a good and bad thing all at once. I like the mix of stories that are about gaming culture rather than just the games themselves. And it's sad to think that the "core" crowd is now going to miss out on important aspects of that culture. But I also don't blame anybody that's tired of wading through a lot of

Keep in mind, the Zero Suit didn't become a big concern until Other M did other damage to the character. I think it's a combination of the form-fitting outfit, the character's ludicrously young appearance (15 or not, she looks way too young to have saved the universe several times), and the weak and girlish

More the face than the body. Way too young and girlish, especially for the character.
