The reason trump was elected is literally because he had a TV show, so you just hit the nail on the head as to why he was elected at all.

At the end of the day Trump will be remembered as the great imbecile. Calculate from that how his voters will be remembered.

I don’t know, when you “represent” the party of random preening moralists, even this becomes a subject of interest. Especially where many of that parties policies seek to demonize others on a basis of sexual orientation and/or conduct.
