Mama mia!
Mama mia!
I'm curious about what went down on Twitter, LaToya. Mauro blocked you for some reason?
I also liked her "don't act like you know my life" when Bryan was needling her about having a pageant mom.
The match was nothing so there was no reason to have the veteran go over the guy who's dying for a PPV win. The only explanation I can think of is that they're trying to build up Kane (think of the inexplicable squash matches he's been in recently) to have him put over someone bigger down the line.
She was great on Talking Smack. Is she the best talker on the women's Smackdown roster? Only Becky would be close.
Becky winning the belt was 100% the right thing to do. I mean, she's been the fighting underdog for nearly her entire time on the main roster, but on Smackdown she's not the underdog anymore - not against two newbies, a Bella returning from injury, Natalya who she just beat and uh… Naomi. It's harder to write angles…
Couldn't believe Kane going over. Just… why???
The kid knows wassup.
Alexa looked great (both in-ring and in her new attire) in the six-pack match. I was bummed she was first eliminated. Her sunset flip powerbomb was aces.
It's weird that the AV Club commentariat seems to be so split on Charlotte. I think she's the best champ the women's division has seen in years.
Oh Natalya. We all thought she was being held back by the terrible booking in the Divas division. Turns out she was actually just terrible.
She really does. Kinda sounds like her too!
Okay, I get that KO beating Sami and Bayley beating Charlotte could be seen as kind of a step back for Sami and Charlotte, but I think it makes sense to put over the two who went over.
Primo and Epico are decent in-ring talent that I'd be happy to see filling out the tag division and putting over other teams… if they had a gimmick that made a lick of sense. The reason we're meant to hate the Shining Stars is that they want people to visit Puerto Rico? What is that even? Is it meant to be cheap "evil…
JBL: "Hey, Nattie, Becky Lynch was the number one draft pick. Does that upset you?"
Fire.
Frankly, Ho Ho Lun was one of the less impressive performers in the CWC — his lack of selling killed his matches a bit for me. Still, NXT is the place to work on that stuff so good luck to him. He seems like a nice kid.
Take that shit out of here, asshole.
Charlotte's getting some of the most consistent heat in the company right now. Her promos aren't perfect but they're damn good.
It was good to see Dolph Ziggler being treated as a serious contender in the main event scene for once…
