I wasn't a fan of that either, honestly. If you've set up this move to be a potential career-ender, why spoil it by making it something that people just shrug off like anything else?

Oh god King of the Cosmos. You have to feel for the guy at this point.

The three-team thing is going to get old quick if we have to see all nine women all the time. The sooner the story focuses on Nikki defending her title from the new blood and reduces Brie, Fox, Tamina and Naomi to supporting roles, the better.

At least the NXT title is the "Women's Championship", which shows a slight change in attitude. But they've probably invested too much in the "Divas" brand now for Vince to pull the plug on it.

Cena's a decent wrestler but an awful seller. I was pissed off when Kevin Owens powerbombed him into the ring apron — the same move that (kayfabe) put Sami Zayn out of action for months — and he showed up the next week without even bothering to mention it, let alone show he was in any discomfort from it.

There are so many little things they do well: Big E's abdominal stretch slaps, their gleeful expressions as they skip down the ramp, the dancing, "tricep meat" and Xavier's commentary in general…

The women's match was not so great, but that was to be expected given the format. It really should have been a true elimination tag match, where a pinfall eliminates a member of a team until one team is left. That way you can sort the wheat from the chaff (eg. get Tamina and Brie eliminated quickly) and finish with a

Bayley was in white and gold too…

It doesn't beat the "Full Sail sucks" from the night before though.

Damn, I'm going to miss the NXT reviews. I always thought there were a pretty good number of people commenting at least, and I liked the conversation here. It's not too late to change your minds, AV Club overlords!

Bliss is leagues ahead of Brooke in terms of character work. As I said above, she absolutely carried Blake and Murphy through their feud with the Vaudevillains. The best thing I can say about Brooke is she has a great look with the bodybuilding thing, and she's better than Eva Marie…

Bayley/Sasha, what a match. Bayley's reverse frankensteiner! Sasha flipping over the ref! There's a huge vacuum in the NXT women's division now (will the three other horsewomen be making any more appearances on NXT after this?), so I'm glad Bayley's there carrying the title and the torch (oh, Emma's there too -

I hate that and his stupid right-hand-only punch-chop combo. It looks so unnatural!

I was also sold but then I realised that Mr Mazzy's missing. Missing. Missing Missing? I mean missing. Missing Mazzy. I'm missing Mazzy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cringed at that.

Exactly. That fact that Becky Lynch likes wearing steampunk stuff doesn't mean her gimmick is supposed to be "steampunk". It just makes her character seem like an actual person with interests and her own fashion sense. I think it totally works for her.

Is the Negative II the worst costume redesign in comics history? If you had asked me to name the worst before seeing this article I would have said Sue's embarrassing boob-window costume.

Yup, and this is the WWE, so they're bound to do it again. Especially because NXT "doesn't count".

From Hell is Moore's masterpiece, in my opinion. Must mention Eddie Campbell's incredible linework, too. It's a truly amazing book.

Hush seems like a lesser version of The Long Halloween to me. That whole thing of the entire rogue's gallery making cameo appearances in the course of the grand mystery. It kind of copied the format part and parcel. Sale's art is way better though, and even though the mystery aspect of Halloween is not exactly
