Thank you. It seems tone deaf (which hey, maybe — the guy's old) to whine about how music is so much worse than the good old days when Dave has always had a palpable enthusiasm for great bands, and that hasn't diminished over the years at all.

The sixties were a lot of things, but ascetic was not one of them.

I'm on vol 2 of Soule's She-Hulk, and although I'm only halfway through it, I'm loving the Jen vs Matt Murdock courtroom battle. I really hope this series gets a relaunch after Secret Wars.

I've quite enjoyed what I've read of Alex + Ada but it does feel pretty predictable. I wouldn't say it was amongst Image's best output at the moment.

Dark Horse is pretty lucky they've got Hellboy and BPRD.

Excellent! Just what I wanted to hear.

Avengers related question! Has anyone been reading Uncanny Avengers?

I totally agree with you on Graham going to a whole new level of awesome on Prophet. Loved those Diehard issues, cannot wait for Earth War.

I read Alex + Ada vol 2, which was a good read, although it seemed a little light (maybe too decompressed?), and the story has started to move in some fairly predictable ways. I'm kinda glad it's finishing with vol 3, because hopefully it'll mean it will tighten up into a satisfying ending, and also it means I don't

Thanks for the considered response, man! It's definitely a weird situation, and I don't begrudge you for coming to whatever conclusion about Kot that you have. I'm a fan, myself, and I guess I find his outspokenness kinda entertaining, but when you're that outspoken you must expect that other people's milage may vary.

Yeah, those other three you've listed there are great. Makes me sure I want to check this one out. I'm guessing this Secret Wars nonsense will end with more quirky titles being launched.

There's being critical and then there's being an asshole.

This is a big problem to me, the idea that saying any old shit about someone is okay because they'll never see it/won't care. The internet would be a much more pleasant place without this little assumption that people are shouting into a vacuum.

I just got Zero vol 3 in the mail, but I've had this series on my radar for a little while and not taken the plunge. I think I'm going to have to crack into it, based on this article. Looks like a great mix of humour and poignancy. Plus, MODOK.

Cap_N_Jack, you seem like a good dude and I often appreciate your comments around here (we are both massive fans of Prophet, so we have similar tastes in at least some respects), so I say this with respect for you as a contributor to these boards. But dude, literally every time Ales Kot is mentioned on this site, you

A while back there was that "win a cruise with Fred Durst" competition, too. Just who do they think their readership is?

This explains so much about Heroes For Hire.

I had never seen that before! Thank you!

I was wondering this also. I've not read a lot of Deadpool, admittedly, but I've never heard of Hank Johnson before.
