Don't be fatuous, fairweather123.

"YOU THINK THE GRIMDARKNESS IS YOUR ALLY. BUT YOU MERELY ADOPTED THE GRIMDARK. I WAS BORN IN IT, MOULDED BY IT."

Not everyone's into Joss Whedon, I know, but I'm sure he would have had a strong handle on how to approach WW. I bet DC kicked themselves hard after the success of The Avengers.

Yeah that was a real cheap shot at Saga. I mean, it's possibly a bit overhyped at this point (I personally love it), but "a pile of shopworn plot devices assembled together with better-than-average art" seems pretty over the top.

That review of Imaginary Drugs has got to be one of the harshest I've seen in the AV Club's comics coverage. Usually you guys only write about stuff you like!

Can't we stop talking about Psylocke's bust for five seconds!

Mystique was more of a plot point for the male characters to fight over, sadly.

Depowered and dead, respectively. But hey, neither of those obstacles ever stopped a superhero before.

Have you tried Spurrier's X-Force, the run that followed Humphries? I've only read the first trade so far but it's set up a very cool Fantomex plot that I'm looking forward to seeing play out.

Only three song title puns? You need more material, girl.

I want to chime in with some Lazarus love, too. I read vol 2 last week and was similarly blown away by how the scope of the story suddenly widened to include the viewpoint of the poor farming family. I'm totally down with those characters already. Such a great book.

Sweet! More comics coverage! Nice one, AV Club overlords.

Yeah, that ending. One of my faves.

That's where you're wrong! Great Job, Internet is never worthwhile!

Would you ever put your brain in a robot body?

To be honest, it's been so long I've completely lost track of where the series is at. This isn't the actual end, right? It was continuing with "Prophet: Earth War" last I heard.

Where's the best place to start with Ennis Punisher? There's a MAX series and a regular Marvel universe series, and they're completely unrelated, right?

Manifest Destiny looks pretty cool. It could be next on my Image list, actually.

Prophet vol 4 is in the mail to me at this very moment. I didn't realise it was nine issues, so now I am even more pumped to read it than I was when I ordered it!

Yeah, it's a very diplomatic way of saying, "Thank Christ Land is off the book".
