The little one has grown too big for me to do it properly any more, but it was such fun when she was tiny. I really love dogs and have developed a great relationship with them.
Oh my god, not only did we have a song for our housemate’s dearly departed lab, but it was actually the theme-song to the abc family sitcom we imagined she starred in. It went:
My most embarrassing one is to the tune of the intro riff to Eye of the Tiger:
To our cat Louie I sing “Hey, Louie, baby I got your money don’t you worry,” from Got Your Money by ODB. He loves it!
Oh Bailey boy, he is a great big doggie/ He’s black and white and loves his little pig/He is my pup, and yes his mommy loves him/She gives him food, that’s how he got so big
My other cats are not into wet food but Molokko loved it and people food and o would sing this at dinner time. And he would literally sing with me amazing dates and also making me look so nuts.
Not really, but then I also sing Jingle Bells to him but all the lyrics are “meow”.
I wonder if kitty was going “yes! I did make you happy! I am an EXCELLENT kitty!”?
Oh! I like this thread. I have a special song for one of my cats. It’s complete nonsense. I don’t know how to describe the tune; it’s kind of a lighthearted little march.
So for Pemi The Cat I have a song set to the Winnie The Pooh theme that goes “Pemi The Cat, Pemi The Cat, chubby little bubby all stuffed with fat, he’s Pemi The Cat, Pemi The Cat, willy nilly silly little butt.” Also the National Anthem by Steve Austin:
Both of my dogs have theme songs. Our older dog has his set to the tune of Batman (the original one) and his is Butt boy (he used to have issues with his hind end so it’s super cute).
No unfortunately :(
When my lovely girl Lucy was still with me, I sang “Everybody Poops” to her on our walks. (Yep, it’s to the tune of “Everybody Hurts.”)
At our house you just insert “puppy” into any song you are singing and it works. This is a daily activity.
I sing my cat the New Girl theme song, except where it goes girl I go cat, and at the end where it goes Jess I sing his name.
I hadn’t given a lot of thoughts to where I would stay ...
I really had the nicest day. Bought a Christmas tree at the farmers market and the fixings for homemade soupe aux pois, with artisanal cheese, bread and saucisson. Made a gingerbread house with the kids and listened to holiday music.
