GM got sued for leaking a sex tape, not for reporting on the actions of an important figure in the field that they report on.

Oculus is currently losing both current and potential business partners because of this; that, if nothing else, creates a direct gaming link.

Beyond that, Luckey’s part of the industry; if it falls beyond the purview of a gaming news outlet to report on news related to the industry, then who should report it?

1.) For all of the “what does this have to do with gaming” folks--Luckey is the originator of the Oculus Rift; as such, even though he sold his company and product on to Facebook, he occupies a position of importance in the gaming industry, and…

yes...and see...those companies are also practicing their “freedoms” by dropping the Oculus.

Then...once he did his “interview” on that other site...companies that make the videogames that go on the thing he made are cutting ties with…

Companies are allowed to make whatever decision they want, based on whatever information they have. Obviously excluding any illegal discrimination. But they aren’t obligated to make a product for Oculus if they decide they don’t want to.
