Funny!

Clergy have weirder (and longer) hours than you might imagine, especially those serving mid-size congregations.

When did Chidi start writing for Lifehacker?

Why are you singling out white *women* when white *men* are the former game show host’s real base?

I’m a middle-aged white woman. I’ve read the Root for years now in order to get another perspective, and I rarely comment because I’m here to learn.

Two questions.

I guess I don’t get *mad* exactly, but boo to onion dip.

According to the WaPo article, “Police said 37 people in the District have been taken into custody so far this year on allegations of violating the noise ordinance.” I want to know how many of them were white.

The original response didn’t call the OP “racist” but politely informed her/him that the term is thought to have racist roots and is generally considered racist now.

Husband: Lifehacker has tips on keeping a relationship strong if someone is a million miles away. I want to know how they got past the moon.

Crashfrog isn’t wrong about the graphic, Squifsteer. (I know, I’m late to the party). The graphic really does start out with a condescending, “if you don’t do it this way, you’re just eating preservatives” tone, and CF was just responding to that. The author didn’t create the graphic, and *her* tone isn’t

There are some hilariously mockable tendencies of HO games, like crowbars as a one-use item. “This crowbar was so useful for opening this crate!” And I could live without the “try to collect a morphing object in every screen you encounter but watch us laugh at you at the end because you forgot one scene about halfway

My husband and I watch CSI: Cyber a few days after it airs, and then we have the ceremonial reading aloud of Knibbs’ recap. Thank you for these recaps, truly a public service.

I love watching this show with my husband, a systems analyst and software designer, just to watch him sputter at the TV. We have a new ritual where we read your review aloud, preferably just after deleting it off the DVR.

Recasting? Or *recatsing*? Ba-da-bump.

Unfortunately, I can't tolerate chives. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I'm allergic to onions. I can't even eat shallots, although I can eat small amounts of garlic. I've asked this question of many people but have yet to get a satisfactory answer.

Really? The "featured thread" is a tired old flame war? Sheeeeesh.

Yes, Digital Blasphemy *has* been around a long time. And the artist (the whole site is by one artist) does have a particular style of art... but he continues to produce. Bought a lifetime membership some time ago for (I think) $100, and it's been worth every penny. I flirt with other wallpaper sites sometimes, but

VOTE: DIGITAL BLASPHEMY. (Gorgeous fantasy/sci-fi/nature art).
