I didn't watch, but when you ask if any other host has been insulated this much, my thoughts go back to reruns with Steve Forbes and, for some reason, musical guest Rage Against the Machine.

Always interested to hear thoughts on Taxi Driver, which is a film I feel super-conflicted about. On one hand, it seems to inspire some pretty nasty behavior in some of its fans, who range from confrontational self-absorbed man-children to outright psychopaths. On the other hand, it's a genuinely brilliantly made film.

Nermal should have been on the No Fly List with all those trips to Abu Dhabi.

I may be lazy

When I think of Clark directing Baby Geniuses, it always makes me think of how Francis Ford Coppola directed Jack.

I've had a hell of a time locating this film. I consider the original Black Christmas an underrated masterpiece.

The documentary certainly implies as much, though I doubt that was its intention. As for me and the friends I met in the community, there's definitely a lack of social skills that plays into it, and I've seen some people using the show to fill the cracks left by some pretty intense personal tragedy.

What particularly frustrates me about the brony community is how they keep drawing parallels between themselves and the LGBT community (talking about persecution, feeling they have to "come out" as bronies). And yet, suggest they're gay, and watch the defenses come up.

The Bronydoc is a damn mess. It's at best a love letter to bronies by bronies, at worst a circlejerk. It has absolutely no interest in the actual feminine aspects of the show, and it is even less interested in the female fans.
