One thing I wish you’d mentioned is Michael Massee, who played Funboy, and was the one who actually pulled the trigger that ended Lee’s life. As you could imagine, it basically ruined Massee’s life as well, and he had nightmares about it until he died in 2016.

I would really like to meet the person for whom all the cgi smiles remain creepy and not just goofy-looking.

This is basically Jump Scare: The Movie, and it astounds me when reviewers either don’t mention just how much the film relies on jump squares, or worse, PRAISE THEM as if they’re not one of the laziest and most reviled tropes in the genre.
