Why not just see if Tom Hiddleston wants to pull double duty? (I’m kidding. I think.)

Who would you say is that highest tier guy?

I’m pretty sure that’s a horse that’s been beaten to death.

Slow clap as a single tear streaks down my face.

Dragons bring down the Wall? Meh, I don’t think so. The Wall protects the realm from the White Walkers. Presumably, dragons are used to combat the White Walkers (fire v. ice). Why would dragons bring down something that serves the same function as they do?

Well, your initial premise was that the Valyrians helped defeat the White Walkers. There’s literally zero support for that in the books or show.

It was the First Men, with assistance from the Children of the Forest. The Valyrians had nothing to do with it.

Gotcha. I am on the fence about the theory. Wasn’t sure if you were aware of it or not, which is why I commented, but you clearly are very well-versed.

“Tyrion is Tywin’s son.”

The Targaryens most certainly did not push the White Walkers back. The White Walkers were defeated prior the construction of the Wall, several thousands of years before the events of the series. The Targaryens conquered Westeros only 300 years prior.

Very valid point. Although, as I mentioned in a couple prior comments, I would expect to see the Unsullied do just a little better - even if they eventually go down, they do so with a fight. Here, they are just getting mowed down like fodder.

That’s a very valid point. I can’t recall how they were characterized in the show as well as I can remember their characterization in the books, but, in the books, they are portrayed as totally without fear, almost immune to pain, and trained from birth. Granted (like I mentioned above), it may be an issue of

Very good point. I can’t recall if that was ever brought out in the series.

Yes, thank you! The Unsullied’s general incompetence in these last few episodes really takes me out of the action. They’re supposed to be this fearless, incredibly well-trained fighting force, and they are easily taken out by untrained citizens. I guess you could argue that their strength is in battlefield combat in

As long as he was cool about it and you were cool with it, not a big deal.

He shouldn’t have mentioned it was his birthday. Wedding trumps birthday by a lot. You have a birthday every year, a wedding hopefully not more than once (or twice). Not to mention, it’s shameful for a grown man to care about his birthday beyond having an excuse to get together with friends and drink.

I’m from South Jersey, but live in North Jersey now. I grew up calling it pork roll, so I’ve never seen what happens if you call it “taylor ham” in the south. However, I can attest that when I asked a waitress up north if the Schenectady Burger had “pork roll” on it, she said “no, taylor ham.” Face palm.

The package says “Taylor Pork Roll,” so neither side is 100% right or wrong.

The dividing line is real.

That’s at least partially on your friend for not warning you.
