Yep, that was my thought. Most of that story fell into kinda normal bad day at work conditions, but guilting yourself into turning over a tip you had done all the work to earn, and then finding out it was some stupid trap to boot, is pretty awful.

I haven't yet had a story I feel was worth submitting, but after a year at an Atlanta Bread Company (think Panera but the food is actually pretty good) I've collected a few smaller stories.
Loads of people take screenshots. How long did it take MS to start using Blu Ray? How long did it take MS to start offering monthly free games with their online subscription? Yeah, we can all play that game so get off your high horse.
Spielberg produced Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which managed to get Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse on screen together. I'm not sure many companies turn down free advertising in a Spielberg flick, and if they do, another one will gladly fill the void.
"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" also raised this question, which Spielberg produced.
After Wreck-it Ralph, I'm willing to believe it's possible.
When I first even contemplated this being a movie, my immediate worry was how would anyone get all the different licenses and permissions to accurately depict what's in the book?

She was crying so bad, her mom relented and came back in to BUY the fucking cards for her instead of teaching her stealing is bad. My assistant manager was shaking his head at her the whole time while she bought them. The mom didn't make eye contact with us and quickly scurried out after the purchase was complete. The…
Ugh, I knew this comment was coming as soon as I opened the article.
Look at the other comments. There are dozens complaining about the Zarya, but not the cookie-cutter cowboy. Is the design lazy? Yeah, a little. Is Zarya's design so much lazier than McCree's that all the outrage about supposed lazy game design should be directed at one but not the other? Not even a little bit.
Thank you for exemplifying how impossible it is to deal with SJWs in all forms.
These companies can never win because somebody is always going to complain. There is literally nothing Blizzard or any other game company can do to appease EVERY "underrepresented group", whomever they may be. I don't understand why any of that shit matters. Why draw attention to what makes us different? Why…
Comments like this are why I hope other game companies take heed and learn that you'll never please the social justice whiners. You people will always find a reason to be offended. It's your thing.
I used to work for a small computer store.
I call this one "The Circle of Life"
I was working at a chain game store many moons ago, and had a guy come in looking to buy a used gameboy advance with some games. After a brief discussion, I learn that it's for his wife who's undergoing cancer treatment at the hospital, and he thought it might help her be entertained (he knew she was a fan of Mario…
Call it a battle of attrition. I've had a guy attempt to con steep discounts at my job at least since I've worked there (5+ years). In that period, we've successfully sold him one item, which was returned the next day. With this one exception, every time he's tried to buy something, from me at least, he uses a…
This is my most memorable one. Way back in the day when the N64 was new and exciting we got ours in for the November 30th launch and then sold out that day. Between then and Christmas we'd get in maybe 1 or 2 every few days.
Have any stories, you say? Oh boy, DO I EVER.
- At Circuit City, there was a middle-aged woman who in retrospect, I'm pretty sure had dementia or alzeimer's or similar. She'd occasionally wander into the store and start talking to whichever associate was nearby. Typically there were no issues, except that in between…
