I liked the (relatively) subtle detail of the 2019 Motocross Championships recording with the hosts wearing breath masks. I feel like that might be the first real indication we've gotten of the show's potential time frame.

That would be hilarious. I think it's probably just a sly wink to the audience, sort of a "we know you know she's pregnant, so we're just not going to try that hard" kind of thing, but if they wrote it into the show that would be great.

It's a testament to the writers on B99 that they can take absolutely rote, done-to-death sitcom plots and still make them highly entertaining on a weekly basis.

How did it take me this long to realize that Mama Baskets named her sons Chip and Dale?

Agreed with Dr. Brule. This show sometimes feels like it could have been produced by Tim and Eric, and although I'm sure that's partially because Zach Galifianakis has worked with them so extensively, characters like Martha and Dale feel like the sort of characters they so effortlessly seem to come up with.

I honestly expected to find out that the whole thing, from the moment Doug spotted Jake, to be an elaborate improvisational con by him to evade capture. It would turn out that he had just been hiding out on the boat (and Jake really did win cruise tickets from buying Speed 2), and then orchestrated the assassination

Hitchcock's face with the little bit of tail fin sticking out of his mouth very nearly made me do a spit-take with my coffee.

Milo Ventimiglia nailed his guest-starring role. Too bad they left us hanging.

The sheer nostalgia from Kermit singing 'Rainbow Connection' alone made the episode worth my time. I can appreciate the new format, although I'm definitely curious to see where this reboot takes things, but more references to the Muppets' past can only be a good thing.

It feels like the show is really hitting its stride, finally. They took a little too long in establishing Phil as a jackass at expense of the spring characters, but now they're exploring plotlines other than "Phil does thing and everyone gets mad" and they're building up the other characters, even if it's just a scene

Maybe my favorite thing about this episode was that it went beyond the usual "Phil does thing and makes everybody mad" and actually put some of the weight on other characters' shoulders, giving them something to do other than just reacting to Phil. Gail and Melissa's side plot was nice because it just focused on then

"You look like eight circles wearing suspenders."

"Or Maybe Not" is a way better solution to the anagram than the one I came up with, "T Mayo Boner".

Also, I'm excited as fuck for Bruce Campbell. Burn Notice reunion!

This was great. They managed to recapture the atmosphere of the first season while taking it to the Seventies, and the cast is potentially even more impressive. I love Jeffrey Donovan (I loved most of Burn Notice and it's great to see him doing an accent again), moustache-free Nick Offerman was weird and discomfiting

It goes back to Cyrano de Bergerac, really, which makes the choice of Gonzo even more appropriate.

I don't know, the Chef's response certainly seemed to confirm it. I like that they just sort of threw it in there as a matter-of-fact thing without really feeling a need to call attention to it.

Two episodes into this season, and both rival the pilot in terms of quality. Making the relationship between Phil and Carol a real thing was the best decision they could have made, and the separation and reunion once again hit all the right emotional notes. Hopefully they can keep that momentum going now that they've

I loved this episode. It reminded me of the pilot and that perfect mix of humor and desolate loneliness that fell by the wayside as the first season went on. As long as the writers can find plotlines besides 'Phil tries to fuck everyone' I think we'll be in good shape.

I don't have a cool Batman villain-inspired account or anything, but I like the show's new direction. It's embracing the crazy side of its story, and that can only be a good thing. Barbara was far more interesting than she ever was in the first season, Cameron Monaghan has his Joker impression locked down already, and
