It's practically a running theme.

It's practically a running theme.

I saw that West End production, and it changed my opinion of theatre entirely (for the good). The sparse production made it the scariest thing I've ever seen. I nearly shat myself when the eponymous woman came gliding up beside me.

I agree there are too many good ideas competing for attention, but I'll be damned if I don't enjoy watching it every single time. Definitely wish the ghost gang had more to do.

"She's not your best friend; she's the bitch who steals your boyfriend."

Wait, I was under the impression this was a movie. Is it a series now?

Agreed. It reminds me of The Onion video where long time Star Trek fans were angry at the new moving for not including a ham-fisted political message and enjoyable action sequences.

I think it's a step too far to say he's being ironic. I think it's a little closer to pandering, but I agree that he's entirely aware of who he is and what sells to a particular demographic. And there's really nothing wrong with that.

I'm not even a superfan of the show, and I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick, but if I didn't know better I'd assume this was written by someone who's never seen the show before. Are you saying that you *have* been convinced by the science up to this point? The science practically *never* makes sense and making fun

Are we thinking of the same Donna? The one that ended up marrying the perfect guy for her shortly before winning the lottery? That Donna?

I'll be here all night folks…

Agreed and Disagreed
I agree with everything you've said here about it's faults, but I still looked forward to watching every week. And these days that's all I ask.

"Mr Show was a brillant and not overrated. See to be overrated you need to be a big hit show"

fun for the whole family to sit down and hate together
I'm pretty sure that "fun for the whole family to sit down and hate together" is written somewhere in the pitch for 90% of Bravo's shows.

Not that anyone is still reading this thread, but I thought I should acknowledge that you are right and I was wrong.

Tom Lennon talked about the music rights issue on Comedy Death Ray. When they originally made the show, the arrangement was that they could use any music for which MTV was airing a video without any additional royalties and so they just went nuts with it. And so when they went to do a DVD years later, they had to

I know that no one is paying any attention to this thread anymore, but since you brought up Roxanne, I watch that on Netflix the other day, and was shocked by how well it holds up. Yes there are some absurd contrivances to enable Steve Martin to tell jokes, but it was just a really enjoyable movie to watch.

"Another example of an offhand comment in a review being taken far too seriously."

I too wondered why the hell these weren't set up as a podcast. You already even have an RSS feed for AV Talks, just attach the .mp3 to the entry.
