I think it's a mix of things. It's an orderly and traditional way to move through categories, it ensures you learn any writerly cleverness early, and you can build up your score before finding a DD.

I haven't been waiting, but this is welcome news. Hart to Hart rules.
He did post over on jboard, and went through his thought process. Basically he ran some word association, and ran out time before he could discard that answer from his head.
He's seemed to hold back all week. I wondered if he was getting bored, and let the others score so it would be a little more challenging.
Agreed. I don't think he wanted something he didn't earn. He's really grown on me. Too bad he was unseated just as I was coming around on him.
That's right. How did that show get Caan and Selleck?
No, but that would've been amazing. They had the best chemistry, and them being vets was such an interesting non-issue aspect of their relationship and personalities. Thank you so much for this. Tom Selleck is a living legend and journeyman actor, and it's awesome to see the care you put into this RR.
Cynicism and snark are officially dead.
I watched a couple of episodes of Las Vegas, when it was in syndication, and came on after Supernatural on TNT. All garbage, except him. He can anchor anything and make it better.
I love Selleck, but those always looked cheesy. Once he compared them to Raymond Chandler, I'm all in.
I couldn't think of another Beat poem that famous. I also figured a critic might focus more on the poet than the content. Actually, I thought of the Rum Tum Tugger, but I knew everything about that was wrong except it would be a funny answer.
That DD would've been more suitable for the kids' game. Gee, what could the opposite of order be?
I wonder if he's anticipating the writers putting DDs in low-value clues or in his weak categories. It seems they've moved DDs around in response to multi-game champs who hunt for DDs. Or he's bored. Some of these games are incredibly boring to watch. I wonder if he's getting bored being so dominating.
I keep hoping they are trying to build up a hefty amount of money so they can maximize a DD if they get it, but then I just think board control. They best way to beat Matt is to keep board control away from him.
Chorus dancers. It's where he learned jazz hands. In a pinch, he'll kill a mime.
He can be Cyril Figgis and insurance, but not those things and Mr. Peabody. Both of the new voices are too generic. They don't convey the personalities or the dynamic of a dog and his boy.
He was fun. The snappy red shirt, the good sportsmanship. What a joy. Mercilessly snuffed out.
If two contestants tie after Final, they used to both get the money and return as co-champions. He wagered to tie (generous), and they decided to change the rules with the new season. In case of a tie, the one with the most money going in wins, and the other person ends in second place.
JK living!
I'd even take the domineering currency trader who didn't change his shirt. At least Chu was a generous competitor - so much so they changed the rules. Plus, he brought cat talk to the chit chat.
