The problem I can see with this knife is that the bolster (the thick part of the blade right in front of the handle) runs all the way down to the edge. The bolster can’t be sharpened, of course, so over years, the blade will lose its curve and even curve the other way, making it very difficult to use. That happened to

Some recent reviews are saying the quality control has slipped on these, and one site recommends the Wüsthof Pro instead (similarly cheap, with a stamped blade and molded handle.)
