I seem to recall a lot of conservative blood pressures spiking, Scanners style,, when a pastor that Obama was associated with criticized America. And by that, I clearly recall that and what a big deal it was made out to be. Literally just a somewhat brimstone-y criticism by a completely different person that they knew.

I’m not sure it’s fully fair to associate dictators exclusively with communism. We propped up guys like Pinochet and Noriega for years and years. I usually use a toaster oven for this, but in a very similar way. I usually go with a lower temp just so I don’t burn the crap out of it with the much-closer heating element.

It’s very rare with tap water, and usually takes enough time to heat it to boiling, so a couple of minutes or more. It should be safe.
