Why is nobody writing SF? I know genre labels are artificial, but very few of these can even remotely be considered SF.

I’ll be glad to see this show end. There are a couple worthwhile pieces sprinkled throughout, but overall it’s just a multi season train wreck. I’ll cross my fingers that they come up with a story for this season that isn’t powerfully dumb, but previous experience makes that seem unlikely.

Call me old fashioned, but I remember when they used to hire famous and/or talented people to host SNL.

Apparently the movie depicts Oppenheimer as remorseful and uneasy about the use of the bomb in Japan, and Nolan has justified not showing the bombings and the impact by claiming that Oppenheimer wasn’t really involved in the bombings.

Instant Brands’ crown jewel is the Instant Pot, a pressure cooker/slow cooker/steamer/rice maker jack of all trades, master of none.

It’s because they clearly don’t understand the product, that they dislike and trash it.

Why all the Instant Pot hate lately? “Oh, it’s for lazy millennials to make trash food.” It’s a pressure cooker. Pressure cookers are useful and can make very delicious food if you know what you are doing. Next up, mocking people for pellet grills or mandolins.

Can we just reserve that angst for mocking Thermomix?
