I wouldn’t know, maybe they’ve just removed the region check altogether? I’m in Europe though, so can only say it works for me now :)

I know I can do this, but the point is I shouldn’t have to. Apparently CDPR or their distributers messed up distribution all those months ago. Only now are people finding out because of some arbitrary region lock. I shouldn’t have to create a new email address and a new PSN account for some other region just because…

You don't need to keep the PS4 version after installing the PS5 one. 

An issue currently plaguing lots of European players with physical PS4 copies is that they cannot download the PS5 upgrade due to region locks. If the cusa code of your disc doesn’t match your account region, the free PS5 upgrade will not be available.

Rollout of the update is not without issues it seems. PS5 owners in Europe aren’t getting the upgrade option for their physical ps4 version.

So was I, but it seems they flipped the switch back since I can no longer start it. It shows the countdown to tomorrow now.

I have the G29 and it works fine with PS5 games. I have no reason to believe it will be different for GT7. Played the PS5 versions of F1 2021 and Wreckfest, no issues whatsoever.
