I see your point, and can’t say I disagree.

Video games have not been a niche nerd hobby for quite some time. It’s just that some niche nerds seem to want to hold on to the niche nerd image.
While you’re definitely not wrong, it’s worth noting that Max Verstappen has (together with his Redline team) won a lot of these virtual races. So while being a good race driver doesn’t necessarily mean you would do good in virtual races, Verstappen is actually extremely good at both.
Looking at the video I’m not sure if they actually understood how to control the crane. Looks more like “If I lean on this thing the magic claw might pick up a raisin for me”, without having a grasp on the relation between joystick and crane direction. Which is still cool I guess, but not far off from what my cat can…
There’s some replacement spring kits out there for the G29 that make the pedals better. It adds a stronger spring to the brake, giving it a lot more resistance. Then it is suggested moving the old brake spring to the clutch, and the clutch spring to the accelerator, making them all a bit “heavier”.
I thought it was a very forgettable experience tbh. It felt like any other 2d Metroid, which is fine I guess. But I’ve definitely played better Metroidvanias that I found more enjoyable (Hollow Knight comes to mind).
What's a Grimes?
Can confirm, they sound like tiny fire alarms every time I’m near the fridge.
My daughter sometimes watches this show, it’s pretty funny even for adults! I may have to get this.
It doesn’t hurt that Arcane is quite nice to look at
Not gonna lie, I love my PS5, but this game makes me want an Xbox.
Does it matter? Even if it is possible, you don't have to do it. And, this being a single player game, who cares if others do? Enjoy the game the way you want.
Looks like fun! Though I was waiting for him to grab a ledge, only for it to break off.
If you’re going through the trouble of installing this enormous control panel, then at least add a screen with matching size!
With regards to the shooting with a controller: try changing the input mode from ‘direct’ to ‘filtered’ in the controller settings. Felt better to me after that.
Not sure if it’s related to how the shooting feels, but for me the aiming just felt way off. Like, just way worse than any other FPS. Changing the input mode from ‘direct’ to ‘filtered’ seemed to help though, making the gunplay a lot let frustrating.
I’m surprised no reviews (none I’ve read anyway) have called out the terrible aiming on a controller. This Reddit post explains it well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Deathloop/comments/pnu59q/psa_the_game_has_absolutely_awful_controller/
Sounds like there's a WarGames quote in there somewhere... "The only way to win is not to play".
My guess is no. The entire reason they add this “exclusive” content is to give people an incentive to buy the same game a third time.
