She doesn’t think SHE needs makeup. She’s trying to recreate a character. For that, she thinks her CHARACTER needs makeup to transform her face from hers, to said character’s. She probably doesn’t honestly care what YOU think, either.

Just in case the other replies to your comment don’t make it clear, your comment is condescending. I get that you were trying for a compliment, but maybe a simple “she is lovely no matter how she does her makeup” would have sufficed. Your comment reads as though you have a definitive knowledge of what/who is

But she’s cosplaying... Makeup is as essential as medical degree to a doctor when you are cosplaying. And yes I do find her more attractive at her natural self, but cosplaying is literally trying to look like someone/thing she is not, with dressing up and putting on make up.

She’s, uh, wearing makeup in all of the photos, dude. Even the non-cosplay ones. Which is totally fine.

This isn't about how she looks with or without makeup- it's cosplay, she's dressing up, she's trying to look like the character not trying to look pretty to you

And don’t let anyone make you feel belittled for wanting to wear make up because you want to. She’s pretty either way - she just looks different.

The point, in this case, isn’t beauty - it’s costume. It’s like you’re telling someone not to dress up for fun on Halloween because she is too beautiful.

Right? It’s false advertising. I want a woman who naturally looks like Edward Scissorhands.
