I actually did just list people multiple times in the game I made at my company! I wanted people to be recognized for the varied work they did, both externally and critically INTERNALLY — so there are repeat names because people wore a lot of different hats. I wanted people who don’t normally write here to get that

I get what Heather is saying. They’re using all the accouterments of that time period—the clothing, the new world, the sense of wonder like Heather said—without really digging in very deep in the reality of the situation. One of the problems we face as a society is people’s romantic views of the past often do this,

This is my current plan, too. It sounds like there’s a lot of bugs too, if steam reviews can be believed. I want it to be good though, I hope they get it there!

I’m still holding out hope this game can be good, b/c it does sound like a lot of what I like. I’m worried about the setting and how it’s handled. It does require care.

This is a very helpful clarification.

It’s not only about principles or convenience, at least not for me. The Epic store doesn’t work on my computer, unlike every other store front I’ve installed (Steam, GoG Galaxy, Blizzard, Origin). It “fails to install prerequisites”. Epic support has been completely useless. So I have games I kickstarted (Phoenix

Unless I’m mistaken, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls was available on iOS for a while. I played a few minutes of it years ago!

That tileset looks wonderful, it’s got me wanting to actually try the game. What’s it called so I can use it too???

But if someone’s a lot worse at the game, then technically an easy mode would be just hard enough -- so they would actually be getting the same experience as you.

Yeah this was always my “easy mode” -- chilling out grinding levels before bosses.

Even if you want to brag, is it really harder to say “I beat DarkSouls on normal” or “I beat darksouls on super hard” while others say “oh I just played on easy”??? Like you can still brag all you want, you just add a difficulty identifier????

Nah, book people do this all the time. Shorter books can sell worse bc they feel like less value for the money.

YES.

I’m all for just admitting you’re pirating if that’s what you’re doing, but some people emulate even when they own the game and system.

Stipend is also used to describe money given to someone for non-specific creative work. A writer-in-residence somewhere, getting money to just generally work on a book or creative project, is probably getting a stipend.

Who looks normal in that trailer?? Everyone looks freaking incredible.

I think you’re confusing your own taste with objective beauty, b/c that trailer had so many attractive people in it that I already know I’m gonna have a hard time picking who to smooch. (Hopefully personality will help narrow it down... but on the other hand, it didn’t in DA:I b/c everyone was so damn cool.)

I’m so happy and excited this happened. But could we please not celebrate this awesome thing by publicly mocking people with obvious serious mental health issues?
