Why not? Is someone going to try to tell me that it’s expensive to send what is essentially a network packet similar to what my computer sends to Blizzard 10000 times an hour when I play WoW?

I’m a Bobtail Bronco (1st Gen) fan all the way. Those later “generations” were just F150s with bed covers as far as I’m concerned, and I’ve owned a few of ‘em.

Go with a 1st gen. Beef up the engine, add some modern niceties to the cockpit, but don’t worry about such things as “floormats” or “upholstery”. Sling a nice

I’m a little rusty on my Bobtail Bronco, but I think that transfer pattern is factory stock. It’s been a few decades since I last drove my dad’s.

I still think that’s the best Bronco, tho.

Might have mentioned the level squish so that this made a bit more sense.

He IS wearing Wrath gear.

I can’t speak to the RAV4 but the form factor in general, I like. I bought an Escape in 2016 and was immediately pleased with the improved visibility and lack of contortions required to get in and out. That was the wife’s main complaint about the Camry we traded in for it. So, yeah, the form factor is a big deal if

I feel bad for Truex.  He won the race and all anyone wants to talk about is this little slap fight.

I hear what he is saying. It took me several tries to quit smoking.

No way anything from that era is worth that much. I like the shape the vehicle is in, but I can hear the plastics and rubber in the thing hardening from here. It’s just a matter of time before things start falling off. Even if I was a fan of big ugly 4x4s that aren’t Bobtail Broncos I’d rank this one as CP.

I have fond memories of the 75 my grandmother bought, fully tricked out - including the 351 engine, biggest they had to offer in that vehicle I believe. This IS, it should be noted, the grandmother that had to sell her Toronado because she got too many speeding tickets.

And ... uses a lot of the same parts, so there’s that!

Hm, they must have changed the brakes in the Sprite after 1971.

That’s no lie. I once drove 10 miles in an MG Midget with the parking break on, and nobody noticed until we stopped and whiffed a bit of hot brake smell.

Gotta love Brendan Gaughan. I’ve rarely seen him get bent out of shape about anything, and I miss seeing his smiling face every week during racin season. Guy’s living his best life, I guess, kudos for that.

I’ve seen too many mismatched engine + drivechain combos to be very hopeful that this vehicle would survive very long without an overhaul. Does it have an upgraded drive chain? Tranny, diff, and rear wheels (not kidding, I’ve seen rear wheels with lug nut holes turned to slots!).

This car has obviously been loved by somebody, though it looks like funding (or something) ran out before they finished the interior.  But all that, and the objections over the wheels, are small potatoes. NP, and I’m not even a MOPAR fan.

The county sheriff had to stop by to talk to my dad about my grandmother and her Toronado. Turns out he kept having to pull her over for speeding and was wondering if something could be done. Or, as he said, “get her a pilot’s license if she’s gonna fly around the county like that!”

I’d like to hear more about that pickup truck in the last pic.

Also, big ups to Warwick Davis for out-driving Will Smith and Benedict Cumberbundle.

I swear, when I read that ad copy I “heard” it in Clarkson’s voice. Anyone else?
