    The original plan was that the Laura Palmer murder would be the ongoing thread that you would tune in season by season and all these disparate digressions and mysteries would eventually lead to the conclusion of who killed Laura Palmer. Mind, this was in the bad old days where you didn't do lingering plot

    As I understand it, lynch lost a lot of control in season 2. And the only way this thing ever worked was when you let lynch play in a corner and it just works. It looks like Showtime eventually realized the suits don't need to get it, just count your money.

    I found Wally a loving enough dig at the teenager stuff that just. Didn't. Matter. And the self-seriousness within. And you laugh at it.

    Like the original anime film?

    It might not have saved it, but I think it would at least be more interesting if this wasn't a third act twist.

    What Netflix nailed that other adaptations didn't was that Frank Castle died with his family. The attempts at 'humanization' were the worst parts of Warzone, I.e. Accidentally killing a cop and the kid stuff. But a step up from tom Janes take, turning the neighbors from one note joke characters and turning them into

    YOUR Mom loved that movie!
