The formal term is less lethal anyway

Rubber bullets at close range can easily still be lethal depending on where they hit. I’d call them “less lethal” not “non-lethal.”

I’m still furious that the cop that killed the man in the mentioned Call of Duty swatting faced NO consequences.

They’re trained to treat every single engagement with the public as potentially life and death. Coupled with the increased militarization of departmental gear across the country, you get the routine bullshit they keep getting away with.

“Attempted murderers” is good too.

You and me both, I am a HUGE fan of Chrono Trigger. I first played it on Wii’s Virtual Console and fell in love with it.

And this is what you get in a society that fetishizes guns.

It just makes you feel worse, because you are reinforcing your feelings of anger and a grudge, but letting the asshole breeze on by with a smile and going back to humming along with the radio kinda helps you feel like the world isn’t that bad really. At least, that is how I always feel these days.

I used to be all about flipping people off if they tailgated me or cut me off, etc. Now I just let things roll because in the last 30-ish years since I got my license road rage has gone from getting the bird back at you to this kind of shit. Ain’t worth it. Let the other idiot think they win - at least you can walk

It’s okay, according to our Supreme Court, this jackass is a “well regulated militia”. Freedom upheld!

I was thinking my grandma could control a gun better than this guy.

He’ll be elected to our Florida Senate next cycle I’m sure.

This is the society you get when you treat firearm ownership as an inalienable right, rather than a privilege with responsibilities.

He looked like a total badass. The control of his weapon points to adequate training. Glad he’s armed and spraying our highways for justice.

lol that’s how you shut shit down in the south. “If you excessively fine that money will go to schools” OH we can’t have that happen!

Blue Lies Matter

Mayor Bryan dismissed the complaints of those who must appear in court. “Everybody’s got a story,” he said. “And 99% of them are lying.”

When the survival of a municipality depends on pilfering its own citizens through traffic stops, code violations and the like, it is a sign that it is time to fold operations become unincorporated. I’d be willing to bet the majority of the budget goes to paying salaries and there are crumbs left for anything else.

Well, the Supreme Court has already decided that flashing headlights is covered by the First Amendment. I hope that can get sorted pretty quickly. Otherwise, I hope they get disincorporated and some people in power go to jail like in that speed trap town in Ohio.

The forfeitures numbers are terrifying. Imagine you are on a family vacation and some small town cop decides your car and all your stuff is now their property and you have to sue to get it back.
