I don’t now, nor have I ever lived anywhere near Baltimore, yet I totally want to donate to her campaign. Until we get more prosecutors in the judicial system like her, things will never change.

This makes me so mad. The first prominent prosecutor to show this kind of courage against a police force. And now people will point to her as an example of why the DA’s office half-heartedly (at best) goes after officers.
I honestly don’t know what would be worse - Donald actually trying to pretend to be POTUS, or Donald just handing over the reigns to Pence/Ryan/McConnell.
She is literally Caucasian from the Caucasus, which is a region on the border of Europe and Asia. She’s not white like Northern/Western Europeans, and to be honest, there is a lot of hatred towards Albanians and similar ethnicities in Western Europe. So yes, she’s “white,” but if you’ve spent any time in Europe, you’d…
“Black Lives Matter, but this particular black person scares me. Why is she so loud? Back to what I was saying...”
rita has purposely styled and passed herself off as ‘ethnically ambiguous’ for many years. she’s like 24/7 black face lite
Did we watch the same clip? Gearing up? I saw Binta holding a water bottle and never once did she clap her hands. I watched the clip again to make sure I wasn’t crazy. She was speaking loudly toward the African American women, not Paige. You have helped me understand that some people make victims of themselves by…
Nihilism is literally the only acceptable counterpoint to BLM, lol.
what was rita “black face” ora’s opinion?
I am so tired of the word scared. Why is Paige scared of Binta? Does she think Binta is a spider? Is she afraid Binta will win the show? Is Binta a non-specific malady that WebMD has convinced Paige she might have? Do white women receive the ‘she sacres the shit out of me’ training manual when they hit puberty? I can…
i watched this last night and was so confused. like, were the americans shunning the african part of “african-american” and the african girl was trying to explain that they were african?
Please shut the fuck up.
Because you’re baiting people. Look ma, I caught some opinions!
I worked this summer at Toronto's Pan Am Games. One of my coworkers was from TnT and he too said that black Americans were lazy. I wasn't shocked because I'd heard my African mother say the same thing. Where does that even come from? Do people forget that it's because FREE AFRICAN LABOUR that the USA is so rich today?…
“Features that are too European-seeming to properly represent Nina Simone” is not the same as “less black.” These are not mutually exclusive. Beyonce? Black! Does she benefit from colorism? Most likely yes! Even though she’s African American, would people object to her portraying Nina Simone? Most likely yes!
I think you’re confusing the issue. No one cares that Zoe(or Polanco) are afro-latino cuz, she’s still black. We know that. No one has a problem with that or them claiming it and a lot would rather people stop claiming every drop of blood except their afro-roots.What she is not, however, is a dark skinned black woman…
Ohh, it’s definitely a thing. It’s just not relevant to this article. :/ What does the existence of Afro-Latinas/ Latinos have to do with colorism?
Actually Afro-Latinas have it pretty bad in the hierarchy of Latinas. The darker your skin is the worse you are treated in many Latin countries.
I think it stems from the fact that many other African/Africanized populations in the Americas and Europe don’t want to be associated with American blackness. This is, in large part, due to the negative images we’re constantly bombarded with on TV, in print, etc. Imagine a child in the countryside of a black-majority…
