I have a little different perspective on this than most; I live off-grid, in a 400-ish sq. ft. house I built using methods popular in Africa. Don’t be dense. This is not about “feelings”. This was a study of actuality. The riders were participants in the study so their feelings hardly matter here. The end result was to look and see if race and gender had anything to do with how people are treated. UberX and Lyft were just 2 easy ways to study that.

Incorrect. It does not matter WHO is doing the discriminating, whether the drivers are women, white people, or people of color. The result is the same: riders are being discriminated against. It doesn’t make it somehow ‘okay’ if a black driver discriminates against black riders.
