It’s the dev game club podcast. The hosts used to work for LucasArts back in the day. They do a lot of interviews with people in the industry too. The interview with Julin Gollop (of XCOM UFO Defense fame) is especially interesting.

That’s actually pretty cool. One of the podcasts I listen to is hosted by two game devs and they always talk about the tricks they use designing games and it’s always fascinating to me. Especially in older games with all their limitations. Some of the stuff people figured out how to pull off back then was pretty…
There’s a lot of fun characters in this game so picking favorites is hard. Miriel and Rykard get points for being so weird and unexpected, Malenia is super cool, but Ranni and Blaidd are probably my favorites. I can’t resist a wolfman or a big witch hat.
See, for me, it’s incredibly stressful to creep around the corner of every cave. I hate being scared! I find it more stressful than fun so the Souls games never appealed to me. I like watching people play them though.
My biggest issue is that hats/helmets are incompatible with Viera (Hrothgar too I think). If you’re going to put them in the game then do the work. There are mods that address it but square has yet to fix this and the fashion element of character creation is one of my favorite parts of any game so it stings.
Disagree.
I only watch subs because I like a lot of Japanese voice actors and I don’t like paying for streaming so I download fansubs and buy blurays instead. But I don’t care who does the VA for dubs. If they’re good let them play who they want. It’s not my market but there are plenty of people who watch dubs and…
The situation around this depresses me. A bad part of her fanbase started being terrible and causing so much drama that COVER issues an official statement saying they have no control over the private lives of their talents and asking everyone to stop being horrible because it’s causing emotional stress to everybody,…
This doesn’t seem that surprising. Don’t most Souls games have issues on PC at launch? Wasn’t one patched by a fan?
Meanwhile I’m a weirdo who doesn’t play them because there’s always one spooky place I’m too much of a coward to get through if I played it on my own. Watching people play them is more my speed.
I have no idea. I saw a pinned thread in the discussion section mentioning a possible workaround but it didn’t solve my problem. Either’s it’s some compatibility thing or maybe it’s because I’m on Windows 7?Or it’s just one of those things. PC gaming is weird like that but I’m hoping when I get my new pc it’ll work if…
right? A friend of mine got me it for Christmas and it just keeps crashing before I can get to a save spot or randomly crashing instead of starting. I’ve tried everything but gave up. Hoping it might work after I build a new pc and upgrade basically everything but if it doesn’t I was sorta thinking the steam deck…
I’m fine with this. Most of these the changes seem more geared towards preventing shady seller shenanigans instead of trying to get something over on the customer in some way. The only store change I really miss is the old bundles. Was kinda nice to get a free copy for a friend instead of talking more people into…
I’ve yet to play a game with motion blur that didn’t make me feel sick or disoriented. Being able to turn it off is always welcome
Not a bad list. I played a lot of these games and enjoyed most of them but I ended up ditching Coffee Talk part way through. I picked it up because it gave me some VA-11 Hall-A vibes but something about it just didn’t click with me in the same way. I liked the setting/art style just fine but the main character and the…
Fantasy Warhammer is my favorite Warhammer so I’m glad to see it doing so well in this series (after numerous updates anyway) but my old pc was too crap to run it. I’m upgrading this year and with the new game including Nurgle and the other Chaos Demons I’m very tempted. But I have no idea how the mortal empires map…
Eh, I only played World but I was more annoyed that female characters got hats instead of cool helmets like the guys did. They seem allergic to anything that covers your face so my knight lady never quite looked how I wanted.
For me it was guilt. We were always pretty short staffed so I knew how bad it felt to go into work when you were down a person or two. I had to talk myself into calling off as well because I always felt bad about it.
Eventually I had to tell myself: Don’t make it personal, make it about the money. Go in if you…
I actually forgot you could do it in the camp. I kept going back to the city to swap out pokemon
I usually only check my sub feed but when I end up in the recommended videos I don’t really see the Jimquisition anymore. I did kinda poison the well after I fell down the vtuber rabbit hole though so now youtube is really confused about what to show me. It’s kinda funny
Everybody keeps saying that about botw but I only ever had issues with the framerate in the deku tree area. Did they patch it or something? I didn’t get around to playing botw until two years ago so I have no idea what it was like at launch.
