It does happen, it’s just unusual. It actually happened to me and that relationship lasted for seven years before we split up.

Still, it’s good to at least make the attempt to talk to people. I mean you don’t get anywhere if you don’t try right?

Real talk, has anyone actually tried the ‘buy her a drink’ strategy? I feel like that’s something that only happens in movies.

It just feels too alien to me.

When you talk to someone face to face you get all these little social cues, you can pick up on body language, and you get auditory feedback (do they sound annoyed, amused, etc).

Messages are just text. It’s like flirting with a robot. It’s got no soul, even if the messages are coming

Next time, try online dating.

How is Xcom 2 anyway? I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. Admittedly part of that is me being a filthy casual in terms of difficulty and Xcom 2 seemed like it was cranking that up. Also not a big fan of the doom clock idea. I understand you can raid stuff to reset the counter but timers in games make me nervous.

Eh, grey area. VNs aren’t always a game in terms of mechanics but people still lump them together...and then get annoyed when they buy a VN expecting it to be a game. I don’t even...I mean novel is part of the name! Ugh...

Well if you ever do get a chance to get it on PC, try to get a version of it that has the realta nua patch. It adds voice work to the game and some other things that make it pretty enjoyable compared to the vanilla version.

Not yet. I’m currently trying to get through World End Economica episode 2 and finishing up the Heaven’s Feel route of Fate/Stay Night so I can be all caught up before the movie (though that probably won’t be released for another year or two).

I’ve actually been playing a lot of visual novels lately and had been thinking of checking this one out for a while now because it looked kinda cute. I thought the eroge content would be fairly tame and looks like I was right.

Still, was the fact that this was ‘uncensored’ a big deal in terms of how it was marketed?

Surprise Gandalf at the end ruined me.

Honest question: What PS4 games should I be playing? I can’t remember any system exclusives standing out (besides Bloodborne I guess) and every “top X ps4 games” are full of cross platform releases that I’ve already played on PC.

The only games I’m currently interested in buying on PS4 so far are updated PS3 games from

But the OLED screen is so god damn beautiful. How can I play Muramasa on my tv? Such disrespect.

I still think that the dreamcast’s D-pad is one of the best I’ve ever used. I liked the triggers too, though I appreciate that that’s more of a divisive opinion.

Man, imagine if stealth rocks shattered against rock or steel pokemon. That would be fantastic.

I thought the counters to glass cannon/frail high speed teams was running bulky types that could take the hit and trade/ running some priority moves on your team like ice shard. I know back when I played more seriously bulky water types were kind of king of the meta ...well, to an extent anyway because they did that

Seriously though, screw stealth rocks. That move should be banned. I’d be ok with it if it was only on weird niche pokemon because that would give people a reason to use them in competitive battles but instead you can use it on so many already good pokemon that it’s just a weakness if your team doesn’t bring it.

God I’m getting Netscape flashbacks.

All this talk of brackets is giving me Discworld flashbacks. I like it.

Now playing

I dunno, that felt like a T game to me when I played it. Maybe the language could have pushed it to M but it wasn’t that bad. Though I’m not as sensitive to that kind of stuff so maybe I’m wrong.

Also, you can’t talk about Soul Nomad without bringing up this cameo. Shame that I can’t find it on youtube in better
