Shimoneta is amazing. So glad to see it on this list. Not just because of the humor (which has made me laugh more than a lot of recent shows) but because of it’s amazing satire and social commentary. You couldn’t have summed it up any better. This show is incredibly clever while also being incredibly silly.

I think the reason Dota and Lol are so hard to understand from an observer’s point of view is because they’re too dense. You have to know the campions, what they can do, what the items do, game mechanics, all kinds of stuff. Some of it you can pick up while you watch, some of it you can’t. It’s easier to get into it…

VP combat is always fun, story sounds like it could be neat, but those characters look super boring. It’s like having a party full of white bread. Ugh. Maybe their personalities can save it? If not I’ll have to take a pass. I can’t get into a good story with uninteresting characters. It’s my kryptonite or something.

The only way it could be any worse is if they used an onion for the bun instead of a tomato. If you people like tomatoes then ignore me. It’s just my opinion. I’d rather eat the squid burger.

I used to play it back in Broodwars with my friend. My micro sucked so he’d have me build the base and he’d kill things. Good times. I’m glad they brought it back.
