Counter point:

This has a larger engine, larger transaxle with larger motors, a rear motor, and importantly, a larger battery that can supply more power to those motors, which would be hard to package into the Prius...

Literally every single damn comment section “I’d buy this if it had a stick.” No you wouldn’t. This is a slow GT car to ride around comfortably, anyone that gives two craps about driving dynamics enough to want a stick would have bought the Vette/911.

Have a Snickers, my dude...

there are so many better colors than “oh shit it looks like it might rain” grey.

Same here, 2 kids who are no longer in 5-point harnesses, now the van feels like an echoey cave. If it wasn’t for the DVD player and rock-solid reliability, the Odyssey would be gone by now. But it also functions as a quasi-pickup truck, so it’s hard to part with all that utility.

Industry numbers show that plug-ins get driven 60% of the miles driven on just electric.   It's pretty easy to get used to doing as and people are financially motivated to recoup the premium you are paying over the hybrid.

Driving a base 2019 RAV4 with auto high beams, the system works fairly well. You can always turn the Auto feature off, if you don’t like it.

Yeah, I figured this one might get a little attention from Jalops. 302 hp in a RAV4 is a great thing. BTW, Toyota making a reference to the 2006-2012 RAV4 makes sense when you realize that from 2006 to 2012 the fastest Toyota WAS the RAV4 V6 with a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds stock. No other Toyota could beat it in a

I think the development of both us better for us. Sweet tech is being developed and the demand for pure EVs is huge.

I love living in a time where 203hp is can be considered under powered. Even if the comment is a little tongue in cheek.

Just for the record.... THIS is the direction the industry should be headed.

It’s getting old. There’s no novelty left in that joke. Yes, it’s a BMW. And it wouldn’t exist any other way. Get used to cobranded sports cars, because it's the only way they make financial sense to produce

well okay then!!

ITP - person who can’t drive.

Yes, although there are people complaining about all the Spider-man movies.

Lost?  You should see the other guy. And by guy I mean pedestrian.

I’m not gonna lie, the thought of old cars getting new life by having an electric drivetrain swapped in interests me greatly. Especially luxury brands.

Unless you're a hardcore Pokemaniac, no, it's not worth buying both. Just get whatever version seems cooler.
