Sooo, they will all turn into Buc-ee’s?

I am amazed at this response.  The comment section is totally owning the writer suggestions.

That’s awesome!

Everyone’s chomping at the bit because he made some incorrect statements. This is a daily occurrence.

Sure, as long as you stop calling Coke, Coke.

Grojean’s manager must be absolutely incredible.

It’s always truck month!!!

Holy shit, a product not designed for you.  The horror.

Hopefully they keep the black and gold livery!

It’s not even that, I hate it when I open a new chrome tab on my phone, and it’s the first recommended story. :( Just don’t put it directly in the title.

#3, there’s a website called “BringATrailer”, oh wait... that’s no longer their intended audience.

It’s not just Uber and Lyft.  It’s all American companies that are using “contract labor” to essentially avoid the extra costs of having a direct employee.  It is getting out of hand overall, but it’s most visible in the mobility sector.

Wow, I just checked the inflation calculator, and even $200,000 a year in 2019, is equivalent to 21,202 in 1956. Wowwwwwwww.

Seriously, a 14,000 car that gets 40 mpg with a warranty.  Yeah that’s a no brainer.  Especially when the low end of the market is starting to get largely ignored in favor of higher profit margin SUVs.

What did you all observe as your MPG? I had one as a rental car in Atlanta, and I was really surprised with the fuel economy of the 4 cylinder. I legit looked for a hybrid badge on it, because it was returning like 42 mpg.

I think I just blue(d) myself.

It must be the millennial in me, but I use the drive thru fairly often. When I have two kids strapped into car seats, it is so much less of a hassle to idle and have them stay seated and buckled in. To be fair, I have a hybrid and it doesn’t really ‘idle’ when stationary in the drive thru though.

edit

Do you know anything about the Toyota TRD pro racks? They look really sturdy, but I have no idea how much weight they’re actually rated for!

Yes, but what we’re mocking Uber for is not being able to make that turn into “money making” territory.  They will not be able to complete the “move upmarket” step you’ve laid out.
