We have a Rav4 and 2 kids. It’s been a fantastic family car. Only when we need to take a set of grandparents (6 people) has it failed us. That kinda pushes us to the van / 3 row highlander point.

It’s partially privacy, and partially because Toyota wants to own the data generated from the car, and not just hand it over to Google/Apple.
I was laughing so hard at the Volvo description. I thought they were going to retire the car after 50 mines, nope... just refill the tank and go again.
I almost always leave my car running in the summer when I pick the kids up from Daycare. It’s electric, so most people wouldn’t even realize it’s on, but it keeps the interior cool for when I get the kiddos out to the car. So, that’s another reason.
It’s rediculous, because it’s just a way to fit a 140+ lb fighter under the 135 limit. Can’t they just have people weight in right before the fight, and tare weight their gloves, outfit, etc?
Or like Hydrofoils, which are badass! They rise up out of the water at speed to reduce drag.
After traveling to Japan, they have the right server system. There’s a fricking button on the table, and you press it if you need something. That way servers aren’t wasting time dropping by your station and asking “How’s everyone doing!?”, or interrupting a conversation, or wondering if their tables actually need…
It was probably hydraulic fluid from the machines that move the brushes around. If there’s a leak on the car it’s really hydrophobic but leaves a hazy mess like you’ve described.
So if they’re just going to balance the performance with non-hybrids, what’s the point of running a hybrid setup with more complexity and cost?
This is infinitely better than all the people suggesting he get a charger or something. The man’s been driving a 13 year old camry. Everything is going to feel like a rocketship.
Yeah, he’s an *ideal* candidate for a PHEV.
What you’re looking for is a Prius Prime or a Chevy Volt.
I agree. I’m not a huge cereal fan, so when I go for it, it better be like I’m a child craving an all day sugar high.
I’m surprised no one picked up Golden Grams. Great until soggy. The combo of CTC, Reese’s, and Cocoa Pebbles was too strong to overcome. Allison and Kevin blew the middle rounds.
It’s amazing. Her mom is such a natural on camera.
The only benefit I can really see is the long game. We bought my wife’s Rav4 before we had kids, and it met her needs for a really long time. Then we grew into it as a family vehicle a little later in life. My Scion FRS did not grow into that role as well... And I can’t see someone buying a van before having kids.
Drive home in Gritty costume. Park car, get out and walk home. Problem solved.
I’m still enraged about it.
I replaced a Lexus LS400 with a Prius Prime last year, and it’s been glorious. I would not have purchased a plug in without the credit. I received 4500 federal, and 2500 from Texas as an incentive. With that incentive it’s actually *cheaper* to buy the plug in version over a normal prius, and then you get a bigger…
I would think FI would be nice. It depends on how much you’re riding it. More frequent riding would make carbs more OK, but if it’s gonna sit for 6 months at a time, then go FI.
