I really enjoyed this as well. Destiny 1 was just a single friend and myself joining PUGs, being sherpa’d, etc. It was fun to see all the shenanigans I’d forgot we got into. We never made it to the lighthouse though - never found a someone who could carry our butts through. :(

“HE SAID THAT IN THE SHOW! OMG call Deborah.”

Huh. Thank you for that! It’s definitely changed since my childhood. I still have a “special edition” Voyager magazine from the pilot launch that details ships systems and it says replicators materialize objects from pure energy. My formative years were a lie. :(

It takes too much energy, no fuel required. See my above reply. Also, the energy required is higher the larger the material you’re replicating, so they use “industrial” replicators to make the giant ship components and then manually put them together.

They don’t require matter - the whole deal with a replicator is it’s energy —-> matter conversion. They mention it’s similar to transporters several times. They had replicator rations on Voyager because they didn’t have a for-sure stockpile of energy to use on replicators constantly.

Ok, now you’re making me crazy self-conscious. I started using a new resume template a few months ago and it had this spot up top for a picture. I don’t have a ton of self-confidence about my looks, but I figured if the spot was there in this new fancy template, all the cool kids must be doing it.

Luuuuuuke. :( There was no link, so I had to open Steam myself and type it into a search bar. :(

This is definitely a good idea, and I’m really, honestly not trying to be “that guy”...but:

I know it’s the land that copyright forgot, but does the concept not even exist there? Like, do the creators of this feel even a tiny bit guilty about taking 98% of their game from someone else? It’s such a weird thought process.

I haven’t seen anyone bring this up, but the lady involved has a pretty heavy accent. I wonder if any of her troubles were caused by communication issues. If she’s visiting and she just heard about the United hooplah, maybe she’s worried about being beaten the hell up.

I’m maybe behind on my Fahey lore, but please tell me you named your sons after Archer and the wee baby Seamus.

When the hell are they adding teams? I play multiplayer with my friend every other night, and not being able to set up an “us vs. the AI” from the menu is incredibly irritating.

I worked for EB Games before/during/after the acquisition, and this was true 10 years ago too. They put huge amounts of pressure on you to sell used games, get trade-ins, sell membership cards, and have as many items as possible per transaction (you got personally reamed by the DM if your items-per-transaction for the

Sweet, it’s $0.25 on the Play Store also. Is there some kind of event or anniversary making everyone discount it?

I wonder how much extra space it would require for them to record the Pokémon saying their names instead of the old squeaks they still have. I thought for sure they’d change in the 3DS, but nope. I think that’d be pretty sweet.

Holy crap. I miss the CCG so much. I’m a few years younger than you, so I didn’t quite grasp the mechanics fully, but I loved it to death anyway.

While that is a classic, I can still remember 6 year-old me losing his shite when someone would get Plinko.

You can’t tell me you’re not a fan of Plinko on The Price is Right.

That seems really dramatic for gambling. They didn’t even show the machine in action, it just looked like a giant billboard.

I feel like he and that guy are familiar with that starting position...intimately familiar.
