So, stereotypically, Japanese kids are ultra-smart and basically go to school nonstop, right? What I'm getting from Ashcraft is that instead they spend all day thinking up new photo memes, trashing abandoned buildings, trashing non-abandoned buildings, and eating a metric crap-ton of fries.

Even though it's geared for kids, I'm surprised every game that involves this kind of relationship factor doesn't just follow The Sims' model.

How does the government come into this? Wouldn't the game developers need to sue, or at least get some of the profit he made?

This entire article is what the phrase "mountain out of a molehill" was designed for. I could not think of a less innocuous 'joke' than the one in the video. Was it stupid? Yeah. Was it funny? Not really. Was it hurtful or insulting? Not in the slightest.
