We always think these guys who came up writing meditative indie movies churn out stuff like this as a cash grab to fund their passion projects, but doesn’t it seem like most of them are just happy to stay in big dumb blockbuster land once they get there?

It seemed pretty personal in Sicario 1. The tagline for 3 should be “This time it’s even personallier.”

I don’t think the MBMBAM format or amount of ad time has changed in at least five or six years. They do promote themselves a little more, but they also each have more going on to promote.

I believe under normal circumstances Gaye’s estate would not have had a case, but the jury was instructed to take Robin Thicke’s punchable face into consideration.

The showrunners created these twisty timelines and endless surprise reveals for the amusement of us humans, but in season 3 the timelines and reveals themselves with attain sentience and proceed to strangle us all.

It is by no means a solo project...

The way you say “Even Rachel Wood is in Texas” makes me think this Rachel Wood person isn’t so great at all.

Just stay away from that sordid Lake Wobegon.

Wonder if Dan Simmons is involved. Or if he gets paid even though it’s a completely different story.

With lawsuits between companies this size it’s never just about the money.

If that was the reasoning that is certainly understandable, but he still didn’t have to slam Eastbound and Down like it’s worthless garbage.

I could see someone saying life is too short for 121 hours of Lost. But you can shotgun 14.5 hours of Eastbound and a Down in a lonely weekend and at least 8.75 of them are great.

I’ve been following Gervais’ little side project as a comedian, but he’ll always be the guy from Seona Dancing to me.

America. What a country! In Mypos we feast on our dead, but here the dead feast on you!

Of course. Your paper towels match the collar that designates your family’s economic status.

I think a season 4 when it was on Fox would have been perfectly fine. The time away and loss of momentum throws things off. I at least give the original edit of season 4 some credit for trying something different.

Why don’t they just have the mafia personally threaten every moviegoer? I don’t see why that wouldn’t work.

10 seasons is insane considering the source material ended perfectly and we’re already well past that. I don’t need to see Gilead fall and I definitely don’t need a happy-ish ending.

Will they be getting into the history of Ska? Going all the way back to when Madness invented it in 1979?

I’m sure they were thinking Season 4 of The Wire more than Dangerous Minds when they came up with the idea. But yeah it seems pretty patronizing to go this route, and while obviously there needs to be greater diversity on TV shoehorning a clique inner city school subplot onto a crappy adult soap opera isn’t doing
