OK, I see the perfect, idealized character. I don’t see the personal flaws. Unless being positive and upbeat is a flaw (which, OK, maybe in our cynical disaffected post-postmodern society…) but, seriously, the Tilly character is relentlessly successful. The article’s author even remarks on her current ubiquity and

Nothing but respect for actress Mary Wiseman. Infinitely charming.

Live-action film based on a video game written and directed by the makers of Catfish and a pair of Paranormal Activity movies.

NOTE: The “Energized Spider-Man” toy ad pictured on the back of the comic book that Ganke Lee is reading was a REAL ad for a REAL toy! It was made by Remco in the late 70s and ads ran on the back of many Marvel comics during this period. There was also an energized Green Goblin toy available, of course.

This world absolutely needs a Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth movie!

The problem with moral relativism (these people are “good” because they do good in specific situations) is that eventually you rationalize it so much that even someone like Hitler would be considered “good” (e.g., he was a vegetarian and liked puppies).

If Luke Cage doesn’t show up for at least one episode, then I’m out.

THANK YOU!!!

HE makes animal jokes in moving pictures for our laughs! It’s not like he’s running for President of the Goddamn United States!

Total agreement that the first episode left me decidedly unimpressed. But I came back for the 2nd episode (featuring the outstanding talents of David Koechner, Dave Foley, and the sublime Tara Lynne Barr) and was rewarded with a fantastic treat. Definitely watch “Face in the Car Lot” to see what this show can truly be

The actual cover to Doctor Strange’s first appearance in Strange Tales #100 neither shows Doctor Strange nor even mentions his name. Human Torch was the featured hero. And the Amazing Fantasy #15 cover is (famously) drawn by Jack Kirby.

This is absolutely the best thing I learned today. Thank you.

Came here to ask this same question. Although Jack Kirby’s cover art to Amazing Fantasy #15 is undeniably gorgeous and iconic, using his art instead of an actual Steve Ditko illustration is a bit of a punch in the crotch to Ditko’s memory.

Amazon has “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on blu-ray for $17.76 each.

Only a speedy blue hedgehog with a nose for gold coins is able to take him down.

Good. Bye.
