Domestic Tranquility means keeping other people from murdering you or stealing your property. Social programs are the OPPOSITE of this. They are literally stealing from one person to give to another person something that person did not earn. Theft is still theft, even if 2 out of 3 people vote for it.

The USA spends about 16% of its Federal budget on defense. A much lower percentage than it spends on things like Medicaid and Social Security. This is ironic, considering defense is one of the few things government at the Federal level is constitutionally SUPPOSED to spend money on.
