Aside from hunting, etc., it’s mostly one part irrational fear and one part power fantasy. It’s not even particularly practical in an urban environment in >99% of situations that aren’t action movies.

Same. I’m actually in the market for this type of vehicle, and the CRV is the only one I have absolutely no questions about. It’s like a Camry. It’s what I would order if I was forced to choose a car sight unseen.  I know it would be fine.

Very common down here. On the other side of town is Round Rock, Honda, Round Rock Toyota, and Round Rock Hyundai. All owned by the same folks. I wouldn’t usually mention them in the same sentence, bit it’s comparable because it’s an undeniably influential person shrugging off their influence, whether it’s Rogan (“I’m not a doctor”) or Stewart (“I’m just a comedian”).

He, and others like him, need to understand that he has influence *because* he has viewers.  I loved John Stewart on the Daily Show, but it was BS when he shrugged his influence off, too.
