Definitely follow the NHS guidelines. Not gonna argue with that. Nothing following changes that.

Good advice. “Self quarantine” and “social distancing” aren’t necessarily the same as “stay home” or “stay indoors” in this case. It’s less about where you are and more about not being were lots of people are, or where lots of people have touched stuff.

Ben would have been perfectly fine, maybe even interesting, as Batman with a more competent script and filmmaker. The cast wasn’t the main problem with those films. Rarely is on these kinds of movies full of A-listers.

I’m the sort that won’t allow so much as a smart speaker in my house, but I tend to not get bent out of shape about outdoor cameras. Not saying they’re my favorite, but if I’m in public I assume someone can see me doing whatever I’m doing.

This was my favorite little meme/trope of the last week — people thinking they can get to 60% alcohol by starting with 40% alcohol and adding not-alcohol to it.

If you’re not 16 or a recent transplant to a rural area, but you need a primer on when to use your high beams, the only thing you need to know how to do is turn them off when you accidentally turn them on. They are not “better,” and they are not preventative. They are a specific tool for a specific situation.

Last time I’d go to that shop. If I happen to have an earbud in — usually because I don’t need one more thing in my hands at the momentbut I’m clearly engaged and interacting with you normally, then the hangup is yours and you are the problem.

Yes, yes yes! A corollary is helping them understand that it’s OK to not get it exactly right the first time, or that mistakes are negative.

That’s true. Diet is mostly notable for its ability to negatively impact performance. The negative impact of bad nutrition is much larger than the positive impact of incrementally better, but already solid, nutrition. But people have stuff to sell, so here we are.

Exactly: Maintain your vehicle, and don’t out-drive the conditions.

Yeah.  How badly have you f--ed up if EA is the good guy?

To be fair; it’s the most Current Republican thing ever to not take a stand unless/until there’s no cost to doing so.

A 60-70 month loan? Maybe. Depends on the terms, the vehicle, and the situation. It’s a tool, neither good nor evil. A bigger problem is:

Still waiting for one where they just lean into the core ridiculousness of a given game world instead of trying to dramatize or “ground” it in reality.

Don’t know if it counts as a “food” but: Sugared soda (entirely) and diet soda (mostly). The latter is sometimes the only viable option when I’m eating out, don’t want coffee, and don’t trust the tap water.

An interesting move from the party of “limited government.” I guess “states’ rights” and all that only sounds good when it comes to the subjugation of the nation’s black and brown population.

The visual effects execution wasn’t the main issue.  Picked the wrong target for the joke.

I’ve never minded going to movies alone.

;-) Can’t disagree. Play what you want how you want. That type of game isn’t for me, but you’re not wrong for liking it.

It’s not weird. Play what you want how you want. The MMOs have never appealed to me, but they’re popular for a reason.
