Spacing around em dashes depends on what style guide you’re using. AP puts spaces around them. Chicago doesn’t.

No doubt. And when I’ve seen it happen, the flight attendant takes a look at their boarding pass for the connection, so it’s not like that person is just gaming the system. If the flight attendant is helping them, I’m pretty confident that the attendant agrees a rush is warranted.
