The GT4 clubsport would beg to differ with that. I own a 981 and it’s not easy to control a car that is so light on the nose. I wouldn’t want more than 390 HP in one. Even the Cayman GTS is a handful.

I don’t see anything about the engine being mid-ship, so I wouldn’t call it a sports car. Also worth noting the Continental GT3 does pretty well in the racing series.
If you can’t afford this, a loaded 2017 A4 for $49k is 80% as good for less than half the price. Similar touches throughout, just a lot less leather and they’re built on a really fast production line. The Porsche is built pretty slowly with a ton of attention to quality.
